The Edwardians were the master of using platinum to create exquisite delicate designs that were not possible to execute prior to the use of platinum. This is a spectacular example.
Elegant and wearable Belle Époque Edwardian baroque pearl diamond pendant necklace... Rare and so very fine...
The bale is platinum, the chain and back (platinum topped) +/- 18k.
I used acid to test the gold and it held at 18k.
The diamonds are old cuts, mixed rose and larger stone is likely mine cut. It measures approx. 1-1/2 x 1 inch and is suspended by a 14 inch chain.
The condition is very good with negligible wear commensurate with age.
